Some very creative artists have been very busy producing some very original artwork!
Andyfaye Folkart is the creation of Andrea Faye McCurry.  Andrea has no formal training and is truly one of the premier outside Folk Artists in the country.  All of Andrea's pieces are created using her original designs. 

All pieces are made from scratch with a product called "Celluclay."  The material is delivered in a boxed powder form.  Andrea mixes the powder with water to create the correct consistency for sculpting the celluclay into the designs.  All prices are designed, created, painted and detailed by Andrea.  Due to this completely hand-made process, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.  Each piece has it's own special personality.

Andrea Faye McCurry was born Andrea Faye Lightfoot in 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa.  Andrea moved with her family to California in 1976.  From her earliest memories she has always enjoyed creating unique gifts.  Her family recalls that when she was young, family birthday gifts and Christmas gifts would always be some little gift made by hand by Andrea.  She carried this creative nature through to her adult life and still makes individual handmade gifts for her family and friends.

Andrea began selling her celluclay creations under the name "Bird on a Wire" in 1997.  She continued selling the creative and unique pieces as "Bird on a Wire" through 1998.

Andrea began Andyfaye Folkart in January of 1999.

Working from her studio in her remote mountain home, Andrea creates the whimsical and unique pieces that are now seen all over the country.  All of Andrea's pieces are created from her original designs.  Andrea is a prolific designer and designs 100 of new pieces each year... many, many of her designs have never been displayed.
